A Team Sara(h) Update

It’s been over a year since we debuted team Sara(h). If you don’t remember our fondness for those whose names begin with the letter S, you can read my previous blog post, linked here. Team Sara(h) has a few important updates we wanted to share.

  • Sarah Tirado – Earlier this year, Sarah transitioned to a newly created role at Acadia Benefits. As our Business Development and Relationship Manager, Sarah connects with local employers to share the resources our team can provide.

“I have really enjoyed getting to know businesses in Maine and discussing ways Acadia Benefits can support their efforts to recruit and retain great employees. I am excited about continuing to cultivate relationships with potential customers and telling our Acadia Benefits story.”

Sarah has brought her organizational expertise to this position, and if you know Sarah, you will understand why this is worth mentioning. She has very quickly created new systems and taken our sales efforts to another level!

  • Sara Closson – Congratulations to Sara C, our Employee Advocate, for recently passing the Patient Advocate Certification Board exam! You can learn more about this certification, here. When Sara told our team of the news that she passed the exam, she explained;

“Earning the Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) credential ensures that in my role as Employee Advocate, I am committed to providing unbiased support to our customers and their employees. It also provides the credibility of deeply understanding patient rights and how the healthcare system operates.”

We could not be prouder of Sara and the work she did to attain this important credential!

In addition to studying for, and passing this difficult exam, Sara also found the time to create a new video series, “60 Seconds with Sara.” In this series, Sara creates short videos to share her knowledge about insurance terms and common issues that she encounters. You can see Sara’s videos on our YouTube channel, linked here.

As for me, Sara P. (aka the OG), my role continues to evolve. I oversee marketing and creative content and our team keeps me busy with various projects to support our customers. I continue to work to build awareness of how Acadia Benefits can help employers with their employee benefit programs. And sometimes this includes braving the elements on a rainy day for a Team Sara(h) photoshoot!
