Meet Naomi Giriteka, Our New Client Associate

Please join us in welcoming Naomi Giriteka to the Acadia Benefits, an IMA Company team! As our new Client Associate, she will play a key role in supporting clients through data analysis, financial modeling, and strategic reporting to help inform benefits and renewal decisions. She will assist with renewal planning, benchmarking, claims and utilization reporting, stop-loss program support, and carrier negotiations, while also helping communicate complex financial insights in a clear, client-focused way.

Naomi’s energy, work ethic, and eagerness to learn have already made her a great addition to the team.

Why did you join the Acadia Benefits, an IMA Company team?

“I joined the team because I wanted a strong entry-level opportunity where I could apply my skills in a practical way while also helping people and businesses.

The company’s focus on internal growth and development also stood out to me. I was excited to become part of a company that invests in developing talent and creating opportunities for its employees.

I was also pleasantly surprised by how welcoming everyone was throughout the interview process, especially when I met the team during my final round of interviews. Being somewhere I would genuinely enjoy coming to every day was very important to me.

I felt like I found all three things I was looking for: a role where I could use my skills and grow, a company that values internal development, and coworkers I would enjoy working alongside.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

“I enjoy spending time with my friends or family, going out to eat (my favorite activity) and traveling. I also enjoy hosting and curating small events at home and making new memories with friends and family.”

What else do you want people to know about you?

“I was born and raised in Burundi, East Africa, and moved to the USA when I was 15 years old. I moved with my sister, who is the most important person in my life and have since then lived in Maine.

I have amazing parents who are incredibly supportive and worked hard to give my sister and me a great life. Growing up, I also spent time living with my grandmother while my parents worked abroad for much of their careers.

Traveling was a big part of my childhood, which is where my love of travel began.

Despite coming from a country with tropical weather, I really enjoy living in Maine, especially during the summer. Winter is another story.

I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Economics and a Minor in Statistics, and I look forward to applying my skills at Acadia Benefits and IMA, while continuing to learn from the team around me.”

Naomi is excited to continue building her knowledge of the employee benefits industry and has already stepped in with enthusiasm. We are excited to support her growth and look forward to the contributions she will make as part of our team.
