How Acadia Benefits Supports Our Community

At Acadia Benefits, our work is centered around helping people—both in and out of the office. As a locally owned business, we’re committed to supporting the people and organizations that make our community stronger. In 2024, we continued this commitment by providing each employee with $200 to donate to a charity of their choice.

This initiative was not just about financial support, it was about empowering our team to contribute to causes they care deeply about. The result? Donations were made to a diverse range of organizations doing incredible work locally, nationally, and globally. Our team directed funds in 2024 to the following organizations:

• Ronald McDonald House – Providing families with a home away from home while their children receive medical care.
• The Robbie Foundation – Supporting children with disabilities in Maine.
• St. Jude’s Research Hospital – Advancing research and treatment for pediatric cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
• CNY Lions Club – Enhancing the Cumberland and North Yarmouth communities through a variety of causes.
• Tommy Mac Foundation – Developing and maintaining recreational and sports facilities for youth of the Kennebunk/Kennebunkport community.
• Arundel Conservation Trust – Protecting Maine’s natural resources and outdoor spaces.
• Maine Cancer Foundation – Funding cancer research, prevention, and patient support programs in Maine.
• Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland – Providing care and adoption services for animals in need.
• United Way of Southern Maine – Improves lives through education, financial stability, and health initiatives.
• SPCA-Global Animal Rescue – Rescuing and advocating for animals worldwide.
• World Wildlife Fund – Protecting endangered species and global ecosystems.
• Yarmouth Education Foundation – Supporting innovative educational programs for students.
• Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk – Raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research and patient support.

This charitable giving initiative is just one of the many ways we strive to foster a culture of generosity and community involvement. We know that small actions can make a big difference and are grateful for the opportunity to give back.
